Friday Links: New Cast Members Join 'The Host' and 'Ender's Game'

In This Week's Round-up:

The winners of the Goodreads choice awards are in.  If you're interested in seeing if your favorite book made the list, be sure to check out which titles people voted for as the best books of the year.

The newly released Kindle Fire takes second place in the tablet market--surpassing all other tablets except for the iPad (results are ranked in unit shipments).

Huffington Post lists the most criminally overlooked books of 2011.

The Unofficial Hunger Games Cookbook offers more than 150 recipes inspired by the popular series. USA Today gives a sample of a recipe from the book--Small Critter Casserole.

A new cast member added to The Host adaptation: William Hurt has been cast as Jeb, Melanie's crazy uncle and a leader of the human resistance.

Interesting: First, a crime novelist claimed that Jane Austen may have been murdered, and now a British author is claiming to have unearthed a previously unseen portrait of the Pride and Prejudice writer.

It looks like another Hugo star is in negotiations to play the role of a war hero. Ben Kingsley is the latest to join the cast of Ender's Game.

American Psycho was adapted from Bret Easton Ellis' novel a little over a decade ago and stars Christian Bale.  Now, Lionsgate is apparently developing a remake.

  1. William Hurt? Awesome!

Poor Jane. It always amazes me how far medicine has come.

    Ooo fascinating picture of her!

    Oooo Kinglsey is awesome.

I love these posts. Thanks for your hardwork and for sharing.

  2. The recipe names for some of the Hunger Games dishes don't sound too appetizing but at least the ingrediants are different so I would be tempted to try to make a couple dishes.
