  1. Now I'm excited for Anna Kerenina.

For the 50 coolest book covers, I don't think I've seen any of them before until now.

  2. Erotic Jane? Ewww! No. Leave my classics alone I say. A little time travel or mystery is fine but I don't like my classic heroines or heroes being turned into vampires, zombies, werewolves, or doing the nasty.

That's a pretty good post/article regarding why reviewers don't love self published books. I've read some amazing ones but some are tough and don't click with me. I'm very careful with accepting self published and usually make sure to the let the author know that if I don't like, I won't be able to finish it and therefore review it. But yah it's hard. Extra work definitely.

Oh some of those worst covers are SO creepy.

  3. I've been wanting to read Snow Crash for the longest time! It seems whenever I want to read a new book, the adaptation is in the works. I'm excited for both the book and the film, I guess I just pushed the book up on my To Read list.

  4. I think they're doing too much trying to release an erotic version of Jane Eyre...ummm, just no. And wasn't Stephanie Meyer re-writing Twilight from Eddy's POV until a friend of hers spread it all over the internet? This lady is really parroting her hard. My cousin want me to read 50 Shades of Grey for her bookclub next month...so I guess I will be taking the plunge.

  5. I can't even imagine how cool a film adaptation of Snow Crash could be. Granted, Hallywood would find a way to screw it up, but done right it could be one of those iconic films. Fingers crossed.
