The US of YA: Read Your Way Across the USA

Epic Reads created a fun map of the United States, picking one young adult book for each state and encouraging readers to read their way across the map.

Check out the map below and see how many states you've visited from the books listed. Or use the list if you're looking for good YA recommendations.

My count came out to 16 books/states so I still have a ways to go.

  1. This is such a cute idea! I guess I have to read The Raven Boys in honor of my home state!

In related news, I've always wanted to take what I call a "book trip." I want to visit the places in my favorite books. For example, I really want to visit the Glenmore hotel in honor of A Northern Light.

PS I'm really glad The Miseducation of Cameron Post ended up on this list. I loved it, and I want to plan a book trip to Miles City because of it.

  2. Cute idea!! Thanks for posting this! I've only read 7 of those books, but that amounts to more states than I've been to in real life.

  3. I love that image. That would be a cool goal for next year!

  4. I went through the list and I've only read 10. Someone should make one for Canada too!
